When working with ADC, I felt like I had a team behind me throughout high school, invested in my success and excited about my accomplishments. They reviewed many of my essays several times and worked with me thoroughly on each of my applications, from editing technical descriptions in research supplements to fine-tuning details in additional information. ADC sends out all sorts of information-packed emails (even to their second-semester seniors), offers drop-in sessions during college app crunch time, and provides fast, comprehensive responses to questions. I could really see their dedication to helping every student. ADC’s insights and advice felt like a glimpse “inside the mind” of admissions. With the aid of their expertise, I made careful and balanced choices about essay topics, and had the confidence to include some personal and likely unconventional details in my application. I went into college app season prepared to rely almost exclusively on my own ideas, but I found that my applications became higher in quality with the combination of experience on the counseling end and personal insight on my end. Working with ADC also helped to bring out that introspection! ADC is accessible to students of all backgrounds, supportive of their identities and sympathetic towards their challenges. The team—patient, organized, flexible, and encouraging—feels comfortable to work with and just so reliable. ADC is dedicated to getting to know the person beyond the student, and they will support you so that colleges can see that person too.
