During this time, students further develop their interests in specific academic areas, which lead to choosing their college majors and ultimately lifetime careers. Students also build their permanent academic records and their resumes of extracurricular activities, which lead to their college acceptances. While many students begin high school with high hopes, their motivation level can go up or down over the years, depending on their academic successes, confidence levels, good decision-making, and availability of quality counseling and mentorship.

ALC offers excellent, comprehensive college application assistance through this popular College Application Class. Specifically geared for high-achieving students, this year-long program includes a 6-week summer essay class that covers all essays for many colleges including Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Yale, Princeton, Penn, Columbia, Carnegie Mellon, Caltech, and the UC system. Students meet with Ann Lee for a one-on-one College Application Consultation, take the year-long Application Class, have full access to Ann Lee's lecture library, and receive individual editing and feedback for all essays and assignments through fall semester. Space is limited.
